Dear Patient,
The Chili Volunteer Ambulance Service Inc (CVAS) has proudly served the residents of the Town of Chili since 1949. Our organization has evolved based upon the needs of the community and requirements set forth by both New York State and the Monroe Livingston Emergency Medical Services (EMS) systems. Our mission has been and continues to be the same, to provide prompt and efficient patient care while showing concern and compassion during your time of need.
In order to cover increased call volume and provide the highest level of emergency medical services to the residents of Chili, Career Staff Personnel were added several years ago to supplement our Volunteers.
While adding career staffing costs money, the CVAS organization feels strongly that by doing so, these career staff employees along with our dedicated volunteers can deliver the professional services you’ve come to expect. Understandably, this is not a cheap option. In an effort to keep your taxes as stable as possible and to continue providing a quality service, it has become necessary for the Chili Volunteer Ambulance Service Inc. to bill patient’s insurance companies for emergency ambulance service.
Please note: The town ambulance taxes you currently pay will cover resident co-pays, deductibles, rejected claims along with those residents without health insurance.
A patient’s inability to pay has no bearing on whether you do or do not receive emergency medical care. No one will ever be denied emergency medical care based on their inability to pay.
All funds received from billing are to be used to provide and maintain a strong town based ambulance, while at the same time increase services when possible. The Chili Volunteer Ambulance strives to provide the highest level of treatment and care you’ve come to rely upon. Billing your insurance company does not change our not-for-profit status. We will continue to be a not-for-profit Emergency Medical Service Corporation.
If you do receive a bill, we ask that you forward it to your insurance carrier. If you do receive a payment check from your insurance carrier, we ask that you forward it to:
